BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Minutes of the September 7, 2023 Economic Development Advisory Committee Meeting be adopted as circulated.

WHEREAS staff researched and presented a report to the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) that included sample by-laws and the relevant portions of the Municipal Act as it pertains to business licensing; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT, as per the recommendation of EDAC, no further research or development of a business license by-law shall proceed; AND THAT staff research alternatives to licensing that would better engage businesses to further enhance and expand the existing business directory.
