WHEREAS Council, by Resolution No. 23-09-11, declared municipal property described as LOT 46 PLAN H790, Thessalon Township, PIN 31446-1405, as surplus land; AND WHEREAS Council further authorized staff to obtain an appraisal of the fair market value of land and advertise for sale by public tender, in accordance with the Sale of Real Property By-law #15-01, Section 15; AND WHEREAS appraisals are becoming increasingly difficult to obtain and are cost prohibitive; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council authorize staff to obtain a Letter of Opinion to determine the above mentioned property's market value for the purpose of establishing a fair price; AND THAT Council authorize amendments to the Sale of Real Property By-law #15-01, to reflect the option of utilizing a Letter of Opinion to satisfy the appraised value of real property; AND THAT said by-law be brought before Council at the next Regular Council meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Council directs the Municipal Treasurer to make the necessary adjustments to the proposed 2023 Municipal Budget as per the Minutes of the Special Meeting held this date, Wednesday May 17th, 2023, authorizing a total of $4,000,649.00 to be raised through taxation; AND THAT the adjusted 2023 Municipal Budget be presented to Council for final approval at the June 14th, 2023 Regular Meeting.
